Current vaccination rate among adults(18~64) in United States is low. Looking at the vaccination rate, we came up with these questions:
We conducted an online survey and in-depth interviews with the individuals and the medical professionals to understand this social phenomenon.
By analyzing the online survey responses from 117 participants, we were able to get important information as to why this phenomenon was happening.
We searched for services that relates to vaccination and found three services. Through comparing and analyzing, we realized that each service lacks certain functions which might help with the overall vaccination rate.
Lack personalization (allergy info, medical history, etc)
Lack information about side effects & manuals

Jane’s son is a high school student, and his sports team required meningococcal vaccination records. Jane remembered him being vaccinated, but she couldn’t find the record in the personal note. When they went to get the shot, the pharmacist asked him to take allergy tests if he wants to get vaccinated.
Where can I get my vaccine information?
While talking with his coworkers, he found out that the Tdap vaccine is essential for car mechanics. After getting the shot, the pharmacist quickly told him about the side effects and to get the shot every 10 years. However, he isn't sure if he'll remember this. He had an allergic reaction that night and didn't know how to deal with it.
Improve vaccination rates, vaccine tracking, and information on vaccines amongst the community
To fulfill our project goal, we've set up project principles that will guide us as we design the service, which should provoke trust and help the users.
Make it easy for individuals to track vaccine records wherever and whenever.
Increase the exposure and facilitate the access of vaccines to everyone.
Make sure users get sufficient information about vaccine.
Provide accurate information and countermeasures.
